Dear Anyone-Whos-Paying-Attention, sorry I haven't been posting. I've been "busy" job hunting and hanging out with my boyfriend in the city. This is pretty late of me but I have to talk about Riccardo Tisci's latest collection for Givenchy. I don't know what the fuck is going on with Fall 2011. I feel like so many of the collections' bold statement has looked like a filler look from 2004. Very disappointed with a lot of the collections I was looking forward to. I'm just not seeing much I haven't seen before. It seems like there's all these trends in design that have been done in a much more evolved manner. Anyway, about Givenchy...I was not into the menswear, like, at all. Taking that "Goththug" thang to a whole new level. The dog is a obnoxious to me. It looks a lil contrived to me and sort of reminds me of that BIG DOG shit I used to hate growing up. Then I read it was inspired by Kanye West's album art or something. FUCK THAT. I was anxiously awaiting the womenswear collection and I peed a little when I saw my "SPIRIT ANIMAL" & dream pet, a black panther printed on the first look. There's a lot of this collection that's very in sync with my personal style. Leather, Mesh,& PVC, "Duh Debra" but it's more about the "twisted classic" aspect. I'm obsessed with the crewnecks, especially the sheer ones. Literally what I would "send down a runway" is what I said. Especially if that one with the wavy over it skirt is actually a dress. OOH LALA! Also, the lettermans in leather and pvc were so what I'm into. What can I say, 2011 a GOOD YEAR FOR CATS.

I just came across her latest single "Orally Fixated"...AMAZING! There hasn't been a new track or even remix that I've really dug quite like this. It's got that housey, yet italo disco, but somewhat French/SebAstian /EDBanger beat that is pretty much my ideal for electro, and then it's like a sassy 80's freestyle song. In short I can't stop listening.

Yesterday downtown, I was being a Barney's rat, viewing all the gorgeous new pieces for fall when I stumbled upon THIS. The Balenciaga Varsity Jacket. I LOVE IT! I've been slightly on the prowl for a lettermans/varsity/whatever jacket for quite some time now. I pretty much discarded the thought more recently seeing as I have no money of my own and If I'm going to spend any money, I'd rather buy something with a little more sparkle than a frumpy men's jacket to play with. This one, however is so gorgeous. The photo does it's contrast in texture and color no justice. What I was looking for in this style of jacket was more of than curved shoulder/sleeve silhouette but I love the Guesquiere details and cut create a more chic structural aesthetic.

I've been wanting a nice black lipstick for some time now and was waiting until the end of the month for Mac's Black Style Collection to come out until I went into Shu Uemura today. I'm familiar with some of their hair products and I just sat in for a presentation by one of their educators recently but I had no idea how killer their range of color is. I was browsing the very-true-to-tone shadows when I saw what I though was essentially sticks of face paint hahaha but turned out to be lipsticks! Vibrant, shimmering, technicolor lipsticks! Blue, Yellow, Green, Purple! I love it! After testing the black, I was smitten. The Shu Uemura lipsticks have a very unique sparkly sheen to them, when applied. The vision that I had for my perfect black lipstick was a somewhat glittery one so I thought, "Perfect!" $23.00 isn't bad either...

While staring blankly at a wall light bulbs today, waiting for an idea to come to mind, I noticed these guys right next to the black lights. I bought a two pack and things will never be same for me, again. Ladies and gentlemen, my room looks like a sunset. I love it! Ever since I was little, I've wanted to live day-by-day under coloured lighting. Unfortunately, unless you don't mind missing out on the joys seeing anything clearly, or just have no life at all, it can be pretty unrealistic. However, these guys are pink but still subtle enough to use daily. To me they give off a similar "comfortable home" vibe that incandescent lights do, only not so yellow. I dig em, but this is only the beginning so we'll see how long this lasts...

Bleach-white skin,red lips+matching nails,silver hair,surreal-erotic poses a la Steven Meisel,black cats with yellow eyes,and a hint of Guy Bourdin. Perfection. ...and I must say I am completely obsessed with the revival of Kristen McMenamy.She is by far one of the most stunning women I've ever layed eyes on. I remember, what I think was the beginning of K.M. fever part deux, when she walked in the spring 2008 Givenchy show. When I saw her long gray locks and piercing crystal eyes, I was immediately smitten. She may have fallen in the final walk, but let's not have bad "fashion feelings" about it.

There was a time, in the beginning of highschool, when I wouldn't wear anything but fucked up denim. Those feelings are starting to come back in the mildest way possible. Today I gave into them...on a pair of stupid Cheap Mondays that I bought like 4 of at Bloomingdale's about 2 years ago and am stuck with. but whatever they're always good for projects....even if the zipper doesn't stay shut.

There you have it! My Margiela-inspired creation.I put an old crystal ash tray my great aunt Babsie gave me in the pant leg, folded it over, and cheese-graded the shit out of the portion folded over until a pannel was made. Then that got tired so I just cut some strips and washed them to fray everything. Simple. OH and lookie what I found. A pair I did in 9th grade. Wish I could remember the exact technique I used on those guys.

I'll take & post a picture in them later. Right now I am ready for bed.
